Children Not Soldiers
I grew up in Africa not knowing that children around other parts of the same continent were being robbed. Robbed of their childhood. Robbed of their parents. Robbed of their freedom to grow, learn, and make their own decisions. Instead they are a plan of somebody else's war that can only be described as sick. Blood, guns, and the image of someone dying because of your hands is not what a child should live for. I feel like we are responsible because we have to voice to speak up, but choose not to. Freedom of speech is just a saying if not practiced so, thats why i chose to speak up.
Children are combatants in nearly three-quarters of the world. Countries like Sierra Leon and Uganda use children to fight their war, but they are not the only countries. Other parts of African, Asian, And European countries practice having children as combatants."The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) defines child soldiers as "any child—boy or girl—under eighteen years of age, who is part of any kind of regular or irregular armed force or armed group in any capacity."
